AEB Monitoring & Alerting outlines each individual step in the process, together with its expected runtime, and provides a clear roadmap of key milestones in the flow of goods. Examples of milestones include the availability of goods at the supplier’s loading dock or the delivery of a shipment to your customer by a transport service provider. These milestones are automatically monitored using tracking data.

When delays occur, the software recalculates the steps in the process in real time and adjusts the shipment’s expected time of arrival.

        Which carriers can be integrated with AEB Monitoring & Alerting?

        Essentially, you can link any carrier that is capable of providing status and event data. AEB handles the technical integration for you. Ideally, the carrier should use an industry standard such as the EDIFACT message IFTSTA. If so, the link can be configured with just a few clicks.

        What about the various status and event codes that the carriers transmit? Each one has its own terminology, even though they all send similar data.

        AEB Monitoring & Alerting converts the carriers’ status and event data into a standardized language. That makes it easier to read the event lists of different carriers and also facilitates carrier-to-carrier analyses. This is especially important with KPIs, so that you aren’t comparing apples and oranges.

        In addition to the carriers’ transport lead times, can I also measure other throughput times, such as those in my warehouse?

        Yes. You have complete freedom to define milestones within your process chains. Such a process can begin in your own intralogistics, of course, and you can define a throughput time for each step, which is then monitored and can be subsequently analyzed.

        Can I also use AEB Monitoring & Alerting to share documents with my supply chain partners?

        You can attach documents to any business object. Access to the documents can be limited to selected partners.

        Does AEB Monitoring & Alerting only provide alerts when problems occur – or can it also be integrated into communications with the customers?

        The software not only sends you email or text alerts when there are disruptions in your processes, it also automatically sends emails when certain events occur. For example: AEB Monitoring & Alerting can automatically send a shipping alert, including a tracking link, to your ship-to party as soon as the goods have been transferred to the carrier.
