File interface or web service interface
There are two ways to receive broker instructions and return automatic status updates. Our online documentation includes more details. The implementation cost of the integration is borne by the partner broker. AEB's experts are available to provide technical assistance, if required.
The web service interface is the preferred method of communication. Web service connections are available via polling in REST or SOAP formats. It is a two-step process to get and acknowledge the data. Sending data back is based on real-time triggers of customs messages.
For each broker instruction, Customs Broker Integration generates an exchange file. The exchange file is a ZIP file containing the BROKER_FILE (including all data), attached documents (such as invoices or PDFs), and a "content.xml" file describing all documents provided in the exchange file. The exchange file is sent to your SFTP server.
