Joining as a student

At AEB, you can gain insight into the business world and get experience working at a medium-sized software company while completing your higher education. Whether you’re working as a student trainee or intern, as part of your thesis project, or in any other arrangement. Students who work at AEB often receive an offer of employment as soon as they complete their studies.

Student trainee

Do you want more from your studies than just classroom lectures? Do you want to move beyond theory and actually make things happen? AEB gives students the opportunity to gather valuable, real-world experience while they are still pursuing their degrees. Semester internship

An obligatory internship is also a good opportunity to get to know AEB and pave the way for your new career after graduation. Those studying computer science or logistics in particular will find lots of opportunities at AEB to gain more real-world experience.

Thesis projects

At the end of your studies, you have one last challenge to overcome: your bachelor’s or master’s thesis. AEB offers the opportunity to ground your thesis in real-world experience and achieve the best possible results through strong mentoring. Ideally, you’ve already had some prior experience at AEB as a student trainee or intern.

Scholarship

AEB offers scholarships for students in the software engineering program at the University of Stuttgart. Winners of a software internship have a good shot at a scholarship.

Duration:
Depending on the type of work, between three months and the length of studies.

Joining as a work-study candidate

Launch your career at AEB through a work-study program and take advantage of the combination of theory and practice in the field of information systems, (applied) computer science, or business administration in services/logistics management. Your advantage: You’ll hone your understanding of theory at the university, then get outside the lecture hall to master the craft at AEB. Our goal is for you to finish your bachelor degree and ideally move right into a permanent position at AEB.

German “Abitur” or “Fachabitur” or any other type of secondary-school qualification for university studies; plus vocational training or experience for the degree program of business administration in service/logistics management.

Your interests:
Logistics, computers, IT, computer science, math, business, and services.

Your potential responsibilities:
Customer projects, product or quality management, IT systems administration, IT, management accounting, marketing, customer care in services & support

Your advantages:
Optimal combination of theory and practice, good mentoring and fixed contacts throughout the three-year relationship with the company, encouragement and opportunities for personal initiative, support in finding the right entry-level job upon graduation.

Joining as a trainee

Start your career path at AEB with vocational training through the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The combination of in-house practical experience and classroom learning at a vocational school offers the ideal preparation for your career. The alternation of theory and practice is especially useful in the field of system integration: Your job will be to help support the IT infrastructure in a growing company while adding your knowledge from a dynamic, cutting-edge field. Together, we can achieve more: We’ll help you finish your vocational degree and ideally move right into a permanent position at AEB.

Your intended credential:
IT specialist for system integration (Chamber of Commerce and Industry).

Your profile:
Good “Abitur” or “Fachhochschulreife” or very good “Mittlere Reife” in Germany.

Your interests:
Computer technology, IT, services.

Your potential responsibilities:
Client or server infrastructure development and administration, IT projects, user training and support.
