The AEB plug-ins automate the search for the right commodity code and export control number in SAP® ERP and SAP S/4HANA® by accessing your material master data directly. The classification happens in Product Classification. Approved changes are synced with the material master of your SAP system.

Import and export via file interface

You can also import or export data using the file interface. A standardized file interface makes it possible to import the relevant data in a predefined format and then export it again when classification is complete.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to integrate Product Classification into an existing ERP or SAP system in order to use it?

No. You can also use Product Classification without connecting to a separate host system (such as an ERP system). Data is then exported in a CSV file to the host system, where it can be processed before it is imported back to Product Classification.

Can I integrate the search for the right commodity code into my existing ERP or SAP system?

Absolutely. Modern APIs make it easy to integrate seamlessly into your IT environment – at the very point where it makes sense in the process: close to the material master data. For SAP systems, we provide ready-to-use plug-ins that let you manage your master data in either ECC 6.0 or S/4HANA environments.

How long does it take to integrate Product Classification into our existing IT system?

The time requirements vary case by case, depending on what you need. Product Classification can be up and running in just a few days. Our AEB consultants and integration guides are always there at your side to help you before you go live.

How good are the results when AI is used to determine the commodity code?

The results depend on the volume and quality of your data – the materials and commodity codes that you’re working with. The following examples provide an overview of the percentage of accurate classification suggestions:
