This is my first blog post in AEB’s blog forum SCMALLWORLD – and I’m very happy to be on board. My name is Geoff Taylor and I am the new General Manager of AEB (International) Ltd in the UK. I’ve taken over the management of the UK business in April 2017, following five years of successful leadership by my colleague and fellow blogger Claire Umney. If you’re interested, you can find out more about our UK business developments here.

What’s important for you readers in SCMALLWORLD, is that both Claire and myself will be sharing insights in the AEB blog going forward. My overall focus will be on topics that deliver value to businesses engaged in global logistics – areas with impacts on performance and balance sheets. What I also really like are facts and numbers. And ideally not in 80-page long reports – but in digestible bites with relevance to my business.

Do you, too? I hope so, because today, I’d like to start with that. You probably also often get caught up in day-to-day business and don’t get to read all the news, reports, and latest studies you’re interested in. So, we read them for you. And publish them in our monthly newsletter, social media pages, or here. In bite-sizes 😉 – with key facts and short summaries. And of course, the original reference, so you can find out more if you like. Just click on the graphic to enlarge it.

Take a look at my today’s selection for you. I hope you like it – it’s a quick but broad overview of latest news in various areas of modern, international logistics that may impact your business – sooner or later 😉 . Let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to your comments, here or on LinkedIn.
