With compact electron beam technology, AEB brings benefits of Blu Sterilization to a wide range of aseptic package formats. Blu is based on AEB's compact electron beam emitter technology. Working with industry leading suppliers of food and beverage filling equipment, AEB is bringing the benefits of Blu Sterilization to a growing range of aseptic packaging applications.

Beverage Bottles:

Using an array of emitters equipped with nozzles that fit inside the finish of typical aseptic bottles, Blu Sterilization enables cold filling with no chemicals and no need for rinse water. The outsides of bottles are sterilized using larger emitters. Alternatively, bottle pre-forms can be directly treated prior to blow molding.

Closures:

Two emitters sterilize the top and underside of a broad range of typical caps. High speed sterilization, in a compact footprint, makes the process simpler and more cost effective.

Horizontal and Vertical Form-fill-seal:

Sterilization of one or both sides of a web is accomplished with an array of emitters just prior to forming. Simpler than conventional steam or chemical based approaches, Blu Sterilization is more reliable and eliminates risk of chemical contamination.

Preformed Bag or Pouch:

Most pouch and bags can be sterilized with emitters configured to treat one or both sides of the package. Electron energy is transmitted through the walls of the package in-line, eliminating the need for pre-sterilized bags, lowering cost and simplifying logistics.
