FoodBev Magaine reports on real time market research performed at Aseptipak 2008. This conference included an electron beam technology reception sponsored by AEB (see some of AEB's technical materials below). According to the FoodBev report, interesting datapoints raised by the 250+ group of brand owners and technology providers included:
- 75% of attendees foresee investment in aseptic technologies in next 3 years - 50% see investment in 2009
- Cold fill most likely to be deployed in value still beverages including RTD teas, juices, sports and energy drinks
- Cost, quality, and health key drivers for adoption of aseptic cold fill.
AEB delivers an enabling technology for cold, dry sterilization in aseptic beverage filling. In-line electron beam sterilization is being used to disinfect a range of packaging materials including: PET preforms, PET bottles, Caps, Pouches, and Cartonboard Briks and Gabletops.
AEB will be speaking at Schotland Research's next event: Novapack 2009.
