Challenging convention with compact, cost-effective electron beams

While electron beams have been used in some industrial applications to date, conventional systems are large, expensive and complex to maintain, making them impractical - or even impossible - for use in many commercial applications. Advanced Electron Beams challenges the conventional model by delivering electron beam technology in a form factor that is up to 10 times less expensive and 100 times more compact in size. The small size of AEB Emitters allows electron beams to be easily integrated in line into existing manufacturing and production equipment, bringing the beam to the process for maximum process efficiency. Available today in 10-inch and 16-inch models, AEB Emitters can be aligned in multiples to produce a beam of any desired width and are small enough to be directed at any angle. Additional geometries to increase coverage area, electron dose and process throughput are also possible. AEB Emitters have an operating voltage of 80-150kV and weigh less than 30 lbs. Moreover, the approach requires no active vacuum pumping equipment, offers a compact, solid-state power supply, and requires no in-plant engineering or maintenance expertise.

Simple Maintenance

Through the use of field-replaceable modules, components can be easily exchanged as needed, with no need for on-site technicians or costly maintenance visits. All components can be disconnected and reconnected in a modular fashion using in-house maintenance staff, drastically reducing production downtime and minimizing support costs.
