Description:
Develop mechanical systems and subsystems -- from architecture definition and layout through design detailing -- for process tools used to manufacture our breakthrough hermetically-sealed electron beam emitters, and for turnkey ebeam systems used in a variety of applications; write specifications based on input from internal and external customers; design mechanisms; select critical materials; package commercial subsystems; collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing personnel to provide producible, cost-effective solutions.
Preference will be given to candidates having experience with vacuum systems and/or x-ray shielding.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (M.S. preferred)
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with solid modeling (SolidWorks preferred)
- Familiarity with standard metal fabrication processes and tolerances
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Pragmatic, results-oriented, collaborative attitude
