A Hands-on individual with high standards of performance to develop manufacturing processes and work instructions while implementing lean manufacturing techniques. Generate ISO and GMP compliant production related documentation, bills of material, fixture and tool designs for ease of manufacturing, quality, and cost improvements. Through collaborative efforts provide on going process support to manufacturing to ensure all specification are met.
Responsibilities
Job Specific
- Assist layout of equipment, offices, and production facilities.
- Plans and designs manufacturing processes, including: workflow, assembly procedures, testing procedures, and work force utilization.
- Identify and obtain parts and tools required to achieve manufacturing goals.
- Conduct studies in operations to maximize work flow and spatial utilization for efficiency improvements.
- Ensure facility affectivity and workplace safety.
- Assess and implement the results of engineering change orders (ECO).
- Work collaboratively with design Engineers and project managers on current design issues and all new product introductions. Generate ECOs for manufacturability, robustness, and cost savings.
- Design, construct, and implement assembly fixtures and testing equipment for process improvements.
- Perform occasional presentations to management and labor forces and respond to questions.
- Provide technical training and instructions to manufacturing employees and others are required.
- Assist in the development of schedules.
- Generate a forward looking weekly report detailing project milestones and current production status and metrics.

Qualifications
Required
- B.S. degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial)
- 3-7 Yrs related experience.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi task with changing priorities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Capable of working from blueprints, schematics, drawings, and specifications.
- Regularly lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pound items.
- Set goals, identify clear objectives, and create visible milestones while anticipating and adjusting for problems and roadblocks.
- Proficient with MS Office, Visio.
Desired
- Experienced in product packaging design and testing for product durability and appeal.
- ISO and GMP work experience.
- Applied knowledge of SPC, FI-FIO, MRP. Kanban, and 5S.
